Air Products and Chemicals, Inc., a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases, currently has an immediate opening for a Maintenance Machinist at our Air Products Membranes Solutions facility in St. Louis, Missouri.

1st shift (7:00 am - 3:30 pm)

The successful candidate will work in the Site Services area and will work well in a team environment where priorities change rapidly.

Required Skills / Abilities:

  • Strong mechanical skills
  • \n
  • Machine shop experience
  • \n
  • CNC milling machine operation and programming
  • \n
  • Welding experience preferred but is not required
  • \n
  • Ability to hold close tolerances, (.0005) using milling machines and lathes
  • \n
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality workmanship and flexibility in job assignments
  • \n
  • Ability and initiative to complete job assignments in a timely manner
  • \n
  • Follow safe work practices and standard operating procedures
  • \n

Key Job Responsibilities:
    \n
  • Perform routine, and non-routine machining tasks
  • \n
  • Assist others with design ideas and equipment improvements
  • \n
  • Complete monthly assigned preventive maintenance tasks
  • \n
  • Repair and refurbish production and building equipment
  • \n
  • Complete required safety tasks and activities
  • \n
  • Support facility operations by completing assigned work order
  • \n

Minimum Hiring Requirements:
    \n
  • A high school diploma or (GED) is required
  • \n
  • Accredited trade school diploma or certificate is required
  • \n
  • 3+ years of machine shop experience is required
  • \n
  • Applicable military training will be considered equivalent to industrial experience
  • \n
  • Strong mechanical skills
  • \n
  • CNC milling machine operation and programming is required
  • \n
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and climb ladders
  • \n
  • Able to work in a team environment
  • \n
  • A valid driver's license is required
  • \n
  • Availability to work a 1st shift (7:00 am - 3:30 pm)
