Job Description:

Essential Duties And Responsibilities:

  • Conduct complex troubleshooting and repair of down equipment to root cause in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on equipment.
  • Provide solutions when repeated problems and equipment deficiencies occur.
  • Perform preventative maintenance in accordance with PM specifications and applicable safety procedures.
  • Thoroughly and accurately document corrective actions of equipment problems and repairs performed.
  • Work on assignments that may be routine, semi-routine, or highly complex in nature where judgement and analysis are required in solving problems.
  • Assist with regular production tasks if needed.
  • Continuously improve required skill sets through formal training or through resolving issues while on the job.

Skills:

  • Thorough understanding of mechanical, electro-mechanical, hardware and software in development environment technician role.
  • Read and understand mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams and related instructions.
  • Read and interpret documents such as technical operating, safety and maintenance documents.
  • Read, speak and write effective English.
  • Technical understanding of Hard Disk Drives and their components.
  • Excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal and relational skills, with the ability to quickly develop relationships of trust and confidence with a variety of people at all levels within an organization.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to effectively multi-task and work collaboratively in a team environment

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Minimum AA Degree Electronics, Computer Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Certificate from vocational or trade school in computer technology, computer hardware/software maintenance or combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 6+ years of recent experience supporting and repairing assembly or test equipment.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft OS, Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Must have good manual dexterity for assembling, adjusting, or repairing fine mechanical or electronic parts and using basic hand tools.

Preferred:

  • Previous experience with Hard Disk Drive Clean Room Tooling and Test Equipment.
  • Electrical, mechanical and software troubleshooting with emphasis on software log analysis.
