Job Details

We are seeking an experienced Data Analytics Consultant in either the Insurance, Investments or Financial Services to drive the strategy, governance, and delivery of high-quality insurance data across the enterprise. In this pivotal role, you will partner with business, actuarial, finance, and technology teams to ensure that data related to policies, claims, underwriting, and reinsurance is accurate, consistent, and effectively leveraged for analytics, reporting, and strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative leader with deep insurance domain expertise, a passion for data-driven transformation, and the ability to align technical solutions with business priorities.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead and manage end-to-end insurance data management processes, ensuring data integrity, accessibility, and compliance with enterprise and regulatory standards
  • Partner with Insurance, Actuarial, and Finance teams to understand business needs, data challenges, and opportunities across the insurance value chain
  • Collaborate with IT, Data Engineering, and Architecture teams to design and implement scalable, business-aligned data solutions
  • Define and enforce data standards, governance policies, and quality frameworks for insurance data domains
  • Contribute to the development of a long-term technology and data roadmap supporting analytics, reporting, and business intelligence initiatives
  • Work with analytics and reporting teams to ensure consistent metric definitions and enable actionable insights across products and business lines
  • Stay current on emerging technologies and best practices in data management, including AI, predictive analytics, and cloud-based data platforms
  • Communicate effectively with business and technology stakeholders regarding project progress, milestones, risks, and dependencies
  • Analyze complex insurance datasets and provide insights to support strategic decisions and financial performance
  • Act as a domain expert on insurance products, riders, pricing reserves, financial reporting, and hedging strategies
  • Utilize hands-on SQL (or equivalent) experience to explore, validate, and troubleshoot data issues independently

REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Management, Actuarial Science, or a related field (Master's preferred)
  • Minimum of 12+ years of professional experience in insurance data management or related roles
  • Proven expertise in data governance, data architecture, and data quality management within the insurance industry
  • Strong understanding of insurance operations including policy, claims, underwriting, and reinsurance processes
  • Demonstrated ability to partner cross-functionally with business, actuarial, finance, and technology teams
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with a focus on delivering business value through data
  • Hands-on experience querying and analyzing data using SQL or similar query languages
  • Familiarity with regulatory and statutory reporting frameworks (STAT, GAAP, IFRS, etc.)
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results in a dynamic and evolving business environment

NICE TO HAVE
  • Strong background in statistical analysis, machine learning, and data visualization
  • Experience leading data warehouse and business intelligence initiatives
  • Knowledge of core insurance systems such as MG-ALFA or similar
