Meridian Technologies is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for an opportunity in Mapleton Illinois!

Summary:

  • Position Title: Manufacturing Engineer
  • Location: Mapleton IL 61547/On-site
  • Anticipated start date: ASAP
  • 12-month contract
  • Special requirements: Travel Requirement 0-25% Domestic US
  • Must be able to work on W2 as an hourly Meridian Employee

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor s degree engineering or 10+ years and deep programming experience
  • Willing to accept associate s degree with 12+ years experience, Willing to accept no degree with 15+ years of experience

Preferred skills:

  • G-code, CAD, Manufacturing Safety, and CAM
  • Proficient in GD&T and CNC Programming

Job Responsibilities:

The main function of a mechanical engineer is to research and investigate the design, functionality and maintenance of mechanical products, equipment, systems and processes. A typical mechanical engineer can make engineering drawings and read and interpret blueprints.

  • Research, design, develop, manufacture, and test tools, engines, machines and other mechanical devices.
  • Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals to determine time and cost feasibility to complete projects.
  • Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and make recommendation to maintenance crew.
  • Oversee installation, operation, maintenance and repair to ensure that machines and equipment are installed and functioning according to specifications.
  • Implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information.

Skills:

  • Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem-solving ability. OKUMA OSP/ Fanuc lathe experience, 3D Modeling experience, PowerBI, Microsoft PowerApps

  • Team player and detail oriented.
  • Displays attributes of a critical thinker and leverages innovative ideas.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback.
  • Advanced ability to make sketches, engineering drawings and common computations.
