Join a dynamic team at the forefront of national security innovation, as we are seeking a seasoned Manufacturing Operations Manager to oversee daily production activities within our advanced manufacturing division.

This senior manufacturing operational management role is pivotal in supporting mission-critical systems including chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear defense/protection technologies, as well as combat and support platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and optimize daily production workflows to ensure efficient use of personnel, equipment, and materials.
  • Champion a culture of safety and continuous improvement across the facility.
  • Align production output with internal and external delivery timelines.
  • Build and maintain a high-performing team through strategic staffing, training, and motivation.
  • Lead front-line supervisors and set clear performance targets for assembly teams.
  • Handle personnel management including recruitment, performance reviews, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to team members to foster growth and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Monitor and control production costs, driving efficiency in labor and material usage.
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to develop clear, actionable work instructions.
  • Standardize operational procedures and tooling to enhance consistency and throughput.
  • Identify potential production risks and implement proactive mitigation strategies.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including Program Management, HR, Finance, and Engineering to ensure seamless operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or related discipline).
  • 3-5 OR MORE years of experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally within aerospace or defense sectors.
  • Proven track record managing complex, engineering-driven production initiatives.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate across diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience with ERP systems and production planning tools.
  • Proficient in interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
  • Familiarity with ISO9001/AS9100 standards and compliance frameworks.
  • Comfortable with extended periods of standing or sitting during shifts.
  • Must meet U.S. person criteria under ITAR regulations (22 CFR 120.15).
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
  • Excellent time management, decision-making, and interpersonal skills.
