Job Description:
  • The Manufacturing Technician is a front-line process technician supporting the Operations team.
  • This role supports production equipment, process improvements, cost reduction initiatives, and new product introductions.
  • The position plays a key role in lean manufacturing practices, training production personnel, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring continuous equipment operation while maintaining compliance with regulatory and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
  • Support production operations and new product introductions.
  • Apply lean manufacturing processes, techniques, and best practices while coaching assemblers.
  • Instruct production personnel in manufacturing and testing of product devices.
  • Recommend and implement process, tooling, and equipment improvements to enhance safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Interpret test data, analyze product performance, and assist with yield improvement initiatives.
  • Assist the maintenance team to ensure continuous operation of production equipment.
  • Support engineers in troubleshooting safety, quality, and process-related issues.
  • Perform scrap dissection and assist with root cause investigations.
  • Summarize and communicate information across shifts and with cross-functional teams.
  • Support company initiatives related to Quality Management Systems, Environmental Management Systems, and regulatory compliance.
  • Comply with FDA regulations, company policies, operating procedures, and task assignments.
  • Maintain positive and cooperative communication with employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.
Requirement/Must Have:
  • High school diploma or trade school certification, specialized training, apprenticeship, or equivalent in Electronics, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
  • One to four years of manufacturing technician experience.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work effectively with assemblers and non-technical personnel.
  • Strong teaching, coaching, and mentoring abilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Results-oriented mindset with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance.
Experience:
  • One to four years of experience in a manufacturing technician role.
Should Have:
  • Medical device manufacturing experience preferred.
Skills:
  • Lean manufacturing principles.
  • Process improvement and troubleshooting.
  • Cross-functional collaboration.
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
  • Effective communication and coaching skills.
Qualification And Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
