The Leonardo DRS Land Systems business is a recognized leader in the design and integration of complex technologies into new and legacy systems and platforms for global military and commercial customers. We are a 5 year running Top Workplace in the Greater St. Louis area.
Job Summary
Leonardo DRS Land Systems is seeking multiple Level II Manufacturing Technicians for our Bridgeton, MO facility. This position will be responsible for building electro-mechanical assemblies per blueprints, schematics, and company standards. The ideal candidate will have experience using basic hand tools such as ratchets, screw drivers and wrenches.

The expected pay scale for this position is $39,933.00/year - $57,104.00/year for the state of Illinois. Should the level, location, or scope of the position change during the hiring process, the pay scale may be modified accordingly. When extending an offer of employment, Leonardo DRS considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position; any Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, the candidate's relevant work experience, education/training, certifications, and key skills; internal equity; and market and business considerations.

Job Responsibilities

- Perform electro-mechanical assembly, disassembly and rework \n
- Provide technical support to engineers and scientist on moderately complex components, devices, material, products, processes and/or equipment \n
- Responsible for testing, modifying, reworking, and repairing electronic, optical and mechanical assemblies \n
- Design and test prototype assemblies and production units \n
- Work from complex wiring and assembly drawings, operation sheets, engineering specifications and sketches and running sheets \n
- Use judgment in re-working or re-wiring to bring unit within quality control specifications \n
- Test, inspect, and repair electronic, optical or mechanical assemblies \n
- Work under minimal supervision and may provide guidance to other technicians \n
- Capable of performing related manufacturing processes \n
- Interpret and follow written documents such as SOPs and safety rules \n
- Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements applicable to the company in accordance with State and Federal regulations and any applicable certification required to maintain the certification \n
- May assist in training new team members \n
- Interface with other departments to assure efficient flow of information and materials \n
- Perform Key Performance Indicators:
- \n
- Meet production deadlines \n
- Quality of finished product (Pass/fail rates) \n
- Raw material stock levels \n
- Compliance outcomes \n
\n - Ability to coordinate several activities at the same time, and to reprioritize in response to changing operational conditions \n
- Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization \n
Qualifications
- \n
- Associate's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience in the field or in a related area \n
- At least 2 years of relevant experience \n
- Must demonstrate strong decision-making and leadership skills \n
- Experienced handling small delicate components, using ESD practices \n
- Soldering and wirebonding experience a plus \n
- Must have good mechanical skills \n
- Must be experienced in the safe handling of chemicals \n
- Experienced in the use of various computer applications, including Access, Excel, and Labview \n
- Experience with MRP a plus \n
