Job Details

Job Title: Marketing Project Manager/Producer
Duration: 6 months (with potential for extension)
Location: Portland, OR
Key Skills: Project management, collaboration, brand alignment, communication, creativity, customer orientation, 4-6 years digital marketing or content strategy, writing or design experience, proficiency in project management software, PMP certification (a plus).
Team and Work Environment:
Our Marketing team consists of approximately 20 individuals dedicated to brand marketing, sponsorship activations, and customer enrollment initiatives. We foster a positive and collaborative environment, driven by a passion for our work and dedication to our customers. Team communication primarily utilizes Microsoft platforms, with creative teams relying on the Adobe Creative Suite and Workfront for project management, along with AEM for asset management.
A Day in the Life:
The typical day involves collaborating with marketers and strategists to develop clear and actionable briefs for creatives. You'll guide project execution from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and business objectives. With most of our team working remotely, you'll engage in regular virtual meetings and coordination sessions, with occasional in-office collaboration days to foster team interaction.
Interaction Level:
You'll work closely with team members and the hiring manager daily, integrating seamlessly into our communicative and integrated team culture.
Top Priority for the Worker:
Your initial focus will be on learning processes and standards while collaborating with partners to deliver excellent creative work.
Biggest Challenges:
While utilities experience is not required, there will be a learning curve to become familiar with the energy industry. Additionally, resource allocation and learning new systems such as Workfront may pose initial challenges.
Required Skills:
Solid project management skills, proficient in project management software.
Efficient, collaborative, strategic, creative, and customer oriented.
Ability to follow brand guidelines and ensure alignment with brand standards.
Nice-To-Have Skills:
Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency.
Experience with digital marketing or content strategy.
Writing or design experience.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field, with 4-6 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
PMP certification is a plus.
Interview Process:
Two-panel interviews, with the first conducted by phone and the second in-person if possible.
Diverse interview panel with 2-4 panelists for each round.
Responsibilities:
Guide project execution from concept to completion, relying on best practices.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop marketing campaigns aligned with business needs and brand execution.
Create clear, actionable briefs for creatives and coordinate assignments.
Capture project deliverables and create work-back plans, including goals, timelines, and resources.
Coordinate with designers, writers, and other creatives in asset development.
Maintain brand standards throughout campaigns.
Skills and Qualifications:
Advanced communication, collaboration, and negotiation skills.
Intermediate project management and analytical skills.
Ability to prioritize work based on business strategy and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Work Hours: 30-40 hours per week, with 1-2 days in the office. Opportunity for extension beyond the initial 6-month duration.
