Materials Program Manager - Mountain View
Looking for detail-oriented and self-motivated Materials Program Manager familiar with working in dealership and automotive environments to support ground-level vehicle maintenance operations. Experience working in dealerships as a service writer, or parts manager is a plus. Must have advanced spreadsheet knowledge and strong data analysis skills. Must have familiarity with Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
Scope:
Ensure supply availability for vehicle maintenance operations across various service centers.
Coordinate material transfers between internal locations, working closely with team members involved as well as within SAP and other business systems.
Analyze/review and summarize parts performance for multiple service centers
Monitor open repair orders for pending materials and parts needs.
Identify high usage parts across multiple locations, escalating parts constraints as needed.
Process work order and consumption data in SAP and using spreadsheets to build understanding of parts consumption, reorder requirements, and stock availability.
Manage delivery schedules in order to ensure materials arrive ahead of required dates. Track shipments and ensure confirmation of receipt in system.
Provide SAP support to vehicle maintenance operations team as required for materials management.
Retrieve quotes from suppliers & submit purchase orders.
Place purchase orders and purchase requisitions as required based on MRP recommendations or ad hoc requests.
Communicates & develops process improvements as needed.
Mitigate Excess and Obsolescence.
Required:
3-5 years of related experience using SAP system.
Strong understanding of the Clear To Build report AKA CTB.
Experience with Manual Demand Planning, Manual Production Planning, Manual MRP is the key requirement.
Experience with Materials Coordination/inventory management for automotive depot Tesla, Rivian, Cruise, etc.
Advanced spreadsheet/Excel skills; Ability to generate complex dashboards, tools, and reports. Experience with excel formulas like - VLOOKUP, SUMIF, COUNTIF, IFERROR, INDEX, MATCH, MIN, etc.
Solid experience working as a Materials PM, Buyer/Planner, Materials Planners, or similar.
Understand how to read and understand bill of materials (BOM s) and manage inventory accuracy.
Effective interpersonal skills & proven ability to listen, comprehend, & communicate clearly in order to achieve positive results
Self-starter that can quickly build strong relationships.
