Job Position: Mechanical Designer, CAD Leader

Job Location: Fremont, CA

Job Duration: 6+ Months Contract

Job Description:

Duties:

• We are looking for a mechanical CAD expert with hands-on design experience that can take lead of the digital transformation in model-based-definition (MBD) and model-based-enterprise (MBE).
• The individual has a strong passion for CAD and natural curiosity to push the boundary of mechanical design in the forefront of the digital transformation with MBD/MBE, large assembly management, and additive manufacturing.
• At the same time, this individual works hands-on to create electromechanical layouts, packaging, fixtures, tooling, and mechanisms. 
• Works with technology development, product engineering, suppliers, manufacturing, and quality group to define specifications and complete the full design cycle. 
• Creates documentation and conduct design reviews in support of design efforts.
• Collects data, analyses result, generates reports, and provides recommendations.
• Contributes as required, in the design, analysis, prototype build, software or process development, evaluation, and complete bottom-up product documentation.

Minimum qualifications: 

• Experience with and understanding of machining and Sheetmetal fabrication processes; expert-level CAD user; strong user of Microsoft Office Suite; excellent communication skills.
• Expert level knowledge of Siemens NX and Teamcenter. 
• Understanding of GD&T, drafting best practices, and large assembly management is a must. 
• Familiarity of MBD and MBE is a big plus (but not a must). 
• Experience with CAD user groups and defining CAD best known practices (BKMs) is a plus. 
• Project management and people management experiences are pluses.

Xoriant reasonably expects the pay rate for this position to be within the following range: $50.00/hour-$55.00/hour.
