Mechanical Project Manager

Position Overview
The Senior Mechanical Project Manager will oversee and manage complex mechanical projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with client expectations, budget constraints, and project timelines. This role requires extensive knowledge of mechanical systems, project management skills, and the ability to lead a team effectively in a commercial construction environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage multiple mechanical projects, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
  • Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets while maintaining effective communication with clients and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with engineering teams to ensure design specifications are implemented correctly.
  • Supervise the installation of mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, and piping, ensuring compliance with codes and safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and address any issues that arise during construction.
  • Prepare and present project status reports to senior management and clients, highlighting milestones and potential risks.
  • Manage project teams, providing guidance and mentorship to junior staff and subcontractors.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in mechanical project management, preferably within the commercial construction industry.
  • Proven expertise in HVAC, plumbing, sheet metal, and piping systems.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
