We are looking for an experienced Product Owner to lead our client's medical billing system, ensuring its efficiency and alignment with business needs. This role involves managing system performance, leading project management efforts for system enhancements, conducting systems analysis, and collaborating with vendor partners and cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with medical billing systems, strong project management skills, and the ability to analyze complex systems and data. Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage vendor relationships are essential. Preferred candidates will have healthcare industry experience and familiarity with regulatory requirements. This is a contract to hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. Rate: $55 - $65 / hr. w2

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary expert and "owner" of the medical billing system, ensuring its optimal performance and alignment with business needs.
  • Lead project management efforts related to the billing system, including planning, execution, and delivery of system enhancements and updates.
  • Conduct thorough systems analysis to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions that enhance system functionality.
  • Manage and nurture relationships with vendor partners, ensuring effective collaboration and communication.
  • Perform system configuration and data analysis to understand system operations and generate insightful reports.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with the operations team and other departments to ensure seamless integration and operation of the billing system.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of system processes and configurations.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in medical billing systems to drive continuous improvement.

Experience Requirements:
Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience with one or more medical billing systems.
  • Strong project management skills with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex systems and data, and to translate findings into actionable insights.
  • Strong business and technical acumen, with the ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in managing vendor relationships and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in the healthcare industry or a related field.

Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards in medical billing

Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
