Medical Laboratory Scientist III North Texas (Full-Time Day Shift)

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform and oversee a broad range of laboratory testing in compliance with regulatory and departmental standards
  • Assist in supervising daily lab operations, mentoring staff, and addressing escalated technical issues
  • Maintain high standards for accuracy and quality control; lead equipment maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting
  • Ensure timely and precise reporting of test results for optimal patient outcomes
  • Foster clear communication and collaboration across interdisciplinary healthcare teams
  • Support inventory control, safety, and infection prevention procedures
  • Participate in laboratory education initiatives and mentor junior staff members


Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor s degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field; or 4+ years of relevant experience beyond the minimum requirements
  • Experience: At least 3 years of clinical lab experience, with 1 or more years in a leadership or supervisory capacity preferred
  • Certification: Must hold a valid certification from one of the following:
  • American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP)
  • American Medical Technologists (AMT)
  • American Board of Histocompatibility (ABHI)
  • American Association of Bioanalysts (AAB)
  • Grandfathered HEW Licensee also accepted
