POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversees daily operations of the Network Operations Center (NOC), PBX Operators, EDI/Computer Operations, and Service Delivery functions. Responsible for planning, design, installation, billing, and maintenance of phones, overhead systems, pagers, and network infrastructure. Ensures high availability, performance, and security of communication and data systems. Maintains import specifications for data integration processes including mappings and HIPAA transaction schemas. Leads service delivery initiatives to ensure consistent, high-quality IT support across the organization. Coordinates with networking and infrastructure teams to support system upgrades, outages, and emergency response. Maintains knowledge and experience in Everbridge, ARC, ECHO, and relevant network monitoring and imaging systems. Provides supervision and training for designated personnel. Serves as a representative in departmental, hospital and community task forces, committees, quality teams and advisory groups as appropriate.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Associate's degree is preferred. May substitute a high school diploma and progressively responsible experience in a related field for degree. Five years of experience in telecommunications, network operations, computer operations, or IT service delivery, including experience as an operator on a multi-position switchboard and familiarity with radio paging systems, is required, two years of which must be in a hospital or related health care setting. Two years' experience with network systems such as Avaya, Cisco, and overhead paging systems required. Knowledge of HIPAA 5010 transaction sets is required. Two years of ETL experience with data integration software is desired. Experience with network monitoring tools, computer imaging systems, and IDX patient census software preferred. One year experience with Windows Office is preferred. Six months experience with MIR3 electronic notification system and/or a physician on-call system is preferred.
