Microsoft Fabric Data Architect
Salary: Up to $150K-$160K + discretionary bonus + profit sharing
Location: Livingston, New Jersey (Monday and Friday remote/Tues-Thurs on-site)
The Opportunity
We are seeking a Data Architect with hands-on expertise in Microsoft Fabric, Azure, and modern data warehousing. This individual will lead the design and implementation of enterprise-scale data platforms, guide the migration of on-premises environments into Azure/Fabric, and ensure scalable, high-performance data architecture across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect end-to-end data solutions leveraging Microsoft Fabric, including Data Pipelines, Lakehouses, Warehouse, and Real-Time Analytics
- Lead large-scale on-prem to Azure and Fabric migrations, ensuring optimized performance, governance, and security
- Design, build, and optimize enterprise data warehouses, data models, and integration frameworks
- Collaborate with engineering, analytics, and leadership teams to define the long-term data strategy and platform roadmap
- Establish best practices around data architecture, quality, lineage, and operational excellence.
- Provide hands-on guidance across ETL/ELT development, data modeling, and Fabric environment setup
- Integrate data from diverse sources (APIs, databases, streaming services) with high reliability and performance
- Develop robust data models and warehouse structures to support enterprise-wide business intelligence needs
Required Experience:
- Extensive background in Microsoft Fabric architecture and implementation
- Strong expertise with Azure Data Platform (e.g., Data Factory, Synapse, ADLS, Azure SQL)
- Proven experience leading complex data warehouse builds and modernizing legacy/on-prem systems
- Strong understanding of ETL/ELT frameworks, data modeling, and cloud-native patterns
- Ability to partner with C-suite/leadership teams on data strategy and platform decisions
