Duration: 1+ Year Contract-to-Hire

We are seeking a Mobile Native Architect to join our client's Pasadena office. This is a new role the first architect on this team where you ll drive the architecture and design of major features and products while still contributing hands-on code. Expect a split of roughly 70% architecture / 30% coding depending on team bandwidth.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the architecture and design of scalable, high-quality iOS and/or Android applications.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features.

  • Write clean, high-quality code and take tickets as needed.

  • Conduct code reviews and ensure best practices across the team.

  • Partner with UX/UI designers to create engaging user experiences.

  • Participate in Agile/Scrum processes for efficient delivery.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of mobile development experience in iOS (Swift) or Android (Java/Kotlin).

  • Hands-on coding background with a strong foundation in mobile app development.

  • Proven experience with applications released on the App Store or Google Play.

  • Familiarity with REST APIs, GraphQL, and backend integrations.

  • Cloud experience (AWS, Firebase, or similar).

  • Strong understanding of mobile UX/UI, responsive design, and accessibility.

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and version control (Git).

  • Exposure to AI/ML tools and platforms (OpenAI, Anthropic, CoPilot, etc.) and knowledge of secure data handling best practices.

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
