Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-focused NDT Etch Inspector to join our team. The Etch Inspector is responsible for performing Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) inspections using etching processes to detect surface anomalies, material defects, and structural irregularities in accordance with industry standards, customer requirements, and company procedures.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ACTIVITIES:
Create and modify etch processes in order to meet customer quality requirements.
Prioritization of daily etch schedule with guidance from General Manager in order to meet on time delivery objectives
Prioritize and schedule etch line chemical and preventative maintenance in order to meet on time delivery and customer quality objectives. This includes having a good working knowledge of all etch line systems in order to provide proper guidance of maintenance program.
Maintain etch inspector training program and training records
Oversee new hire training
Complete internal audits of current etch processes to ensure compliance
Lead and participate in etch process external audits to include NADCAP, ISO, etc. to ensure quality compliance
Work with customers to develop new etch processes in order to develop new revenue streams
Provide timely feedback to all customer inquiries
Maintain chemical safety compliance per OSHA and West Penn safety standards
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
A successful candidate will need to be able to take process ownership, oversee operating personnel, plan and supervise workload and take responsibility for meeting quality and safety standards.
An associate s degree in an engineering/technology field required as a minimum or equivalent experience. Chemical engineering and/or mechanical engineering skills a plus. Candidate must also have a working knowledge of chemical etch processes. SPC knowledge a plus. Process control knowledge a plus. Process engineering knowledge a plus. Experience operating in a similar wet process environment a plus. Must be Word, Excel, and Outlook fluent.
