NEW Permanent Laboratory Supervisor Molecular/Microbiology

Location: Providence, RI area
Department: Molecular / Microbiology
Type: Full-time, Permanent, Salaried

A dynamic clinical laboratory in the Providence area is seeking a Lab Supervisor to lead its Molecular/Microbiology team. This is a full-time, salaried leadership position ideal for an experienced Medical Technologist looking to take the next step in their career.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the Molecular/Microbiology lab

  • Supervise, train, and support lab technologists and technicians

  • Ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, and other regulatory guidelines

  • Monitor workflow and drive process improvements

  • Participate in hiring, scheduling, and performance management

Qualifications:

  • ASCP certification (required)

  • Bachelor s degree in Medical Technology or related field

  • Prior supervisory or lead technologist experience highly preferred

  • Strong technical knowledge in molecular/microbiology testing

  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
