Network / System Engineer

Genesis10 is currently seeking an Network/System Engineer with our client in the financial industry located in Pennington, NJ, Charlotte, NC and Kennesaw, GA. This is a 12 + month contract position.

Responsibilities:

• Deployment, Middleware and Environment Management for Lower-Level test Environment
• Keeping the environment pristine and as production as possible
• Work closely with Technology Infrastructure Teams, Development Testing Teams in supporting Integrated Independent releases, software/hardware upgrades, server upgrades, etc.
• Perform troubleshooting, analysis, research and resolution using advanced query and programming skills
• Conduct root cause analysis for incidents and problems including single user and branch issues escalated by Advisory users
• Able to partner and build subject matter expert teams to identify cause and resolution to escalations where root cause/issue is caused by technology supported by partner teams
• Provide monitoring of the environment during release or independent change and tracks changes to the production environment
• Look for areas of improvement in monitoring, application stability, and speed of determining root cause
• Manage changes, defects, and projects across various testing and PROD environments
• Application support, ensuring stability for high-volume, multi-tiered, distributed transactional applications in a production environment
• Defect triage of issues in the application testing environments
• Deployment of code and/or retrofit of production code
• Communicating to our clients and/or consulting on design of infrastructure
• Rebuilding Servers
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Working side by side with testers and developers to ensure all are working cohesively
• System patching
• Technical documentation
• Partner and communicate with internal customers and partner teams

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Communication, Information Technology
• 5+ year' experience with Windows 2022 Server, IIS, .Net application integration in large complex environments
• Hands on experience with DEVOPS on Windows Operating Systems, System Administration and Automation
• Ability to plan, design, create programs, and document through AGILE framework DEVOPS using XLR/Ansible
• Hands on experience with Application Middleware (.Net, IIS, JRE, etc.)
• Hands on experience with PowerShell scripting
• Environment Management skills on WINDOWS Servers
• Ability to troubleshoot application integration issues in Windows environment
• Basic understanding and troubleshoot experience of multi-tier applications, Networking, SQL
• Good working knowledge of CI CD Process like Ansible, Jira, XLR, etc.
• Knowledge of Windows PowerShell scripting
• Prior Finance work experience
• Ability to debug and troubleshoot performance and software issues
• Able to handle multiple tasks/projects and adapt to a constantly changing environment

Pay range: $63.68 - $71.68
