Network Architect
(This position will involve onsite work in Indianapolis, Indiana)
We are looking for a Network Architect to join our New Build Project Team, with a key focus on deploying network and wireless infrastructure for the New Downtown Hospital. This is a field-based role requiring regular on-site presence to oversee and execute the installation of switches, routers, access points, and structured cabling. The ideal candidate will have experience designing and implementing enterprise-grade wired and wireless networks, conducting site surveys, and ensuring optimal coverage and performance in complex environments. You'll work closely with construction teams, IT architects, and project managers to deliver reliable, secure connectivity that supports critical hospital operations.
As part of this high-impact initiative, you will be responsible for end-to-end deployment activities including equipment staging, configuration, installation, testing, and documentation. You'll also troubleshoot issues, validate network performance, and ensure compliance with healthcare IT standards and security protocols. This role demands strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to adapt to evolving project timelines and site conditions. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Produces the detail surrounding accepted EA frameworks and logical system designs.
- Uses guiding principles & architectural policies to produce solution designs that anchor to IT portfolio standards and ensure long-term operational and administrative efficiencies.
- The architect is detail-oriented and thorough with the analysis and direction provided to development teams.
- Ensures delivery teams are equipped with the leadership and guidance necessary to successfully deliver their solutions.
STRONGLY PREFERRED:
- 5-7 years of experience working in a hospital network environment
- 5-7 years of experience in Cisco networking and enterprise wireless
- Experience working with vendors to quote complex solutions
- Experience working with multiple internal teams and scheduling of resources
REQUIRED:
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- 5-7 years of experience required.
- Requires knowledge of EA frameworks and design tools.
- Requires deep expertise in at least one technology domain.
