Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate Degree in Computer Science or related field, OR equivalent work experience
Working knowledge and good troubleshooting abilities of network problems and outages on wide range of hardware and software products in a networking environment
Desired Qualifications:
College Degree(BS, BA)
Strong understanding of switching, routing, TCP/IP unicast and multicast traffic, static and dynamic routing protocols
Network monitoring software and protocols such as SNMP, ICMP, and Syslog
Licensure, Registration, Certification:
Network Engineer Certification
Responsibilities
Assists in the management, planning, monitoring, support and operations of the Network Infrastructure which includes but not limited to Cisco Switches, Routers, Wireless Controllers, Wireless Access Points, and security devices. Assists with testing new products, technology and configurations. Recommends networking solutions to meet departmental and organizational goals. Supports a variety of applications and processes that depend on the network. Provides 24x7 network support by participating in the IT Network group after hours on call schedule and performing scheduled maintenance and upgrades during weekends and evening hours.
