Description:

We are seeking a Network Engineer to join our Security Infrastructure team, where you'll play a critical role in deploying Packet Brokers that provide essential visibility for our system performance and security teams.

You will collaborate with a variety of internal and external partners, including our internal customers(System Performance, App, Security teams etc) , installation teams, and vendors, to ensure solutions are deployed seamlessly and on schedule.

What You'll Be Doing

• Deploy Packet Brokers and other network equipment to provide critical visibility services.
• Work with cross-functional teams to understand their needs and deliver effective solutions.
• Create clear and comprehensive deployment guidelines and cutsheets for vendors and other teams to ensure equipment is installed according to our standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve Layer 1 and Layer 2 connectivity issues.
• Maintain and track multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery.
• Occasional shipping and receiving of equipment.

What We're Looking For

• We need someone who is detail-oriented and can think critically to solve problems in real-time.
• You must be focused on maximizing customer uptime and minimizing impact.

You'll Need to Have:

• A bachelor's degree or four or more years of relevant work experience.
• experience in network engineering or a related field.
• Experience and expert knowledge of Layer 1 and Layer 2 deployments, including fiber, taps, optics, power connectors, and cabling.
• Strong understanding of Layer 3-7 concepts.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with project management, tracking multiple tasks, and reporting progress on a weekly basis.
• Ability to lift to 50 pounds for occasional shipping and receiving.

Even Better If You Have:

• A degree in Engineering, Networking, or a related field.
• Certifications related to network equipment e.g., Cisco, Juniper Experience with network packet broker ecosystems such as Keysight, Gigamon, or Extreme Networks.
• A strong technical understanding of Verizon's or other 4G/5G data network architectures.
• Extensive knowledge of 3GPP standards and protocols (e.g., LTE, TCP/IP, DIAMETER, SIP).
• In-depth knowledge of 5G, IMS, and LTE call flows.
• A demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external teams.
• Work Location This is a hybrid role - You will work from the Branchburg NJ office 3 days a week.
