Network Engineer III

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has an enterprise client that is seeking a Network Engineer III in Redmond, WA. You will lead improvements in existing processes and identify opportunities to enhance or develop new processes. Candidates should have significant past experience with many of the following: LAN/WAN Ethernet, MSTP, VRRP, GSLB, anycast, multicast, MPLS, TACACS, IPSEC, VPN, NetFlow, SNMP, syslog.

REQUIREMENTS:
* Should have a minimum of 7+ years of industry experience
* 2+ years of major internet routing protocols experience through network layers 1-4
* 2+ years of working in a Linux/Unix environment
* 1+ years of network automation scripting using Python, Perl, Bash, or similar
* Experience with cloud networking in AWS using Terraform or CDK
* Experience working in a highly available network and highly operationally aware
* Experience with IPv6/IPv4 design and implementations
* Excellent IP networking fundamentals and extensive experience in the application of IP protocols for both IPv4 and IPv6
* Knowledge of network hardware and packet forwarding architectures
* Thorough understanding of TCP/IP networking, core technologies such as IP, TCP, OSPF, BGP, Firewalls, ACLs, DNS, DHCP, IPAM, etc.
* In-depth knowledge of, and experience with, major internet routing protocols; preferably BGP and OSPF
* In-depth knowledge of, and experience with, major routing and switching platforms; preferably Cisco Catalyst and Nexus, and Juniper SRX, QFX, MX
* Excellent network analysis fundamentals and robust troubleshooting skills
* Willing to work flexible hours as needed and participate in a team on-call rotation

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
