Position Title: Network Engineer

Location: Sunnyvale, CA

Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 (DOE)

Status: Full-time / On-site

Clearance: Secret

Required Certification(s): Security+

Summary:

RTL Networks has an exciting opportunity for a Network Engineer providing network hardware & software expertise in support of the Combined Orbital Operations Logistics and Resiliency program.

Primary Responsibilities:

Essential responsibilities of the Network Engineer include, but are not limited to:
  • The Network Engineer will review existing network & NetApp filer configurations and practices, and recommend refinements, improvements, and performance enhancements to align with industry best practices and security compliance requirements.
  • The Network Engineer will also provide system administration, system backups and troubleshooting to the network (Windows/Unix/LINUX) servers and NetApp filer storage array.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree and 7+ years' experience or bachelor's with 9+ years' experience or equivalent
  • Must meet DoD 8570 Information Assurance Workforce (IAWF) criteria or Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II certification at time of hire (i.e., Security+).
  • Experience with installation, configuration, and maintenance of Windows/UNIX/LINUX servers and network IT infrastructure.
  • Experience with maintaining Oracle database servers. Familiar with networked database server and NetApp filers.
  • Experience with developing and debugging related scripts in UNIX shell scripting languages, Perl, or python.
  • Good understanding of software and database development processes.


Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time.
  • Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically.

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. ship is a requirement for clearance at this location.
