Description

We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer to join our team in Lexington, Ohio, on a Contract to permanent basis. In this role, you will oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security across local and remote sites. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic environment within the plastics manufacturing industry, while supporting mission-critical systems.

Responsibilities:
Oversee the operation and maintenance of network infrastructure to ensure continuous uptime and reliability.
Provide technical support for IT projects and assist team members with day-to-day technical needs.
Diagnose and resolve advanced network issues to minimize disruptions.
Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot network components such as LANs, WANs, VPNs, Wi-Fi systems, servers, routers, firewalls, switches, and power backups.
Collaborate with infrastructure and security teams to identify and address vulnerabilities through timely patch management.
Create and maintain detailed documentation, including network diagrams and system configurations.
Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing to ensure business continuity.
Monitor network and server performance, proactively addressing issues and responding to alerts.
Handle outages and service disruptions efficiently, including occasional after-hours support.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Network or Systems Engineering.
Extensive knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, Ethernet, switching, routing, and routing protocols in Cisco and Meraki environments.
Proficiency in Microsoft Server operating systems, Active Directory, and domain architecture.
Hands-on experience with Cisco Networking, Meraki solutions, Fortinet Firewalls, UCS, Cisco Catalyst Switches, and Veeam Backup.
Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent documentation skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex technical challenges and deliver solutions in a timely manner.
