Overview
Responsibilities include network infrastructure and telecom, delivering uninterrupted business operation, performing scheduled maintenance, and ownership of projects and implementations.
Main areas of expertise includes voice, video, automation , API call scripting, collaboration tools, network infrastructure and logistics.
Responsibilities
- Provide 2nd level support on daily voice, video, collaboration tools and network infrastructure tasks and issues reported by user support desk
- Work on assigned voice/video and network infrastructure projects
- Develop automation scripts within Unified Communication system.
- Work on assigned voice/video and network infrastructure projects
- Provide support during system installations across all sites
- Provide support to other Systems Infrastructure teams during project implementation
- Maintain inventory of network and telecom devices and services
Qualifications
Experience/Knowledge Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience with Cisco UC products that will be able to provide level 2 support
- Work in tandem with our helpdesk to address any voice/video related issues for our user population, and configure voice/video endpoints. Tasks include building voice/video endpoints (this includes Cisco and trading floor related endpoints), troubleshoot voice/video related issues (this includes Cisco and trading floor related endpoints).
- Automation skills and experience are also a requirement for this role.
- Specifically scripting in Python and working with APIs.
- Experience with trading floor voice systems and network/security platforms are a plus.
- Able to document and communicate clearly with self management skills.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Intermediate knowledge on Cisco Unified communication components such as communication manager, video communication servers, meeting servers, telepresence management servers, collaboration tools and endpoints
- Knowledge in scripting language Phyton to write automation for Cisco Unified Communication components (Postman, APi Calls, Website development, Ansible, Terraform
- Knowledge on trader voice and recording systems
- Intermediate knowledge on configuration and troubleshooting of Cisco Call manager voice and video endpoints, voice gateway routers, PSTN access.
- Intermediate knowledge on configuration and troubleshooting of Cisco expressways, TMS, CMS infrastructure.
- Knowledge on configuration of Cisco switches, routers and firewalls
- Knowledge of routing protocols EIGRP, BGP, NAT, LACP, CDP, UDLD, VPC, DNS, DHCP
- Knowledge on troubleshooting networking issues OSI layers 1-7 across voice, video networks
- Knowledge on network management platforms: Solarwinds, Cisco Prime Infrastructure, Cisco Prime Collaboration and Assurance
- Ability to support mixed data, voice, and video networks
- Capability of performing and complete tasks and projects independently
- Ability to perform copper and fiber cable structure work
