V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for a Network Engineer for our premier client in Iselin, New Jersey.
Education and Experience
- Bachelors degree in Technical, Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of experience supporting computer networks in a mission-critical environment.
- 7+ years of experience in DNS administration and engineering.
- 7+ years of combined experience with BlueCat (Address Manager, DNS/DHCP Server, DNS Edge) OR Infoblox DDI platforms.
WHAT YOULL DO:
Job Responsibilities:
- Apply strong knowledge of DNS protocols, standards, and best practices to design robust solutions.
- Design, support, and implement DNS solutions using BlueCat Address Manager, BlueCat DNS/DHCP Server, BlueCat DNS Edge and Infoblox DDI (DNS, DHCP, IPAM) platforms.
- Configure and maintain DNS zones, records, policies, and profiles across BlueCat and Infoblox systems to ensure operational efficiency.
- Test, debug, perform performance analysis, and document network infrastructure components for both platforms.
- Monitor and optimize DNS performance, availability, and scalability to meet organizational demands.
- Troubleshoot and resolve DNS issues and incidents promptly to minimize downtime across BlueCat and Infoblox environments.
- Ensure DNS security and compliance with industry standards and best practices, including DNSSEC implementation.
- Document DNS configurations, processes, and procedures for operational clarity and continuity.
- Perform capacity management of network infrastructure to support scalability and reliability.
- Ensure network plans integrate effectively with other aspects of the technical infrastructure.
- Ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of network infrastructure for new projects.
- Collaborate closely with operational teams to resolve issues and propose innovative solutions.
- Assist in providing production support escalated from the Network Operations team.
- Participate in a 24/7/365 weekly on-call rotation to ensure continuous service availability.
