Preferred Locations:

  • Primary: Melbourne, FL

Duration: Contract 6+months and possibility for extension
Pay Rate range: $35/hr - $42/hr on W2 All Inclusive Danta Technologies payroll

Summary:

We're looking for a highly skilled Observability Engineer with deep hands-on experience in Prometheus and Grafana to join our team supporting enterprise monitoring initiatives.

In this role, you'll be responsible for designing, configuring, and scaling monitoring infrastructure, building custom Grafana dashboards, and implementing effective alerting and performance visibility solutions across complex distributed systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and scale Prometheus and related exporters

  • Develop and maintain custom Grafana dashboards and PromQL queries

  • Integrate Prometheus exporters with existing applications and systems

  • Design and manage alerting rules and escalation workflows

  • Collaborate with DevOps and infrastructure teams for seamless observability

  • Ensure accuracy, reliability, and performance of metrics collection and alerts

  • Conduct testing and validation of metrics across services

  • Analyze data trends to identify performance bottlenecks

  • Build visualizations and present meaningful insights to stakeholders

  • Improve data retention, storage strategies, and monitoring coverage

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience with Prometheus, Grafana, and exporters

  • Strong understanding of time-series databases and performance tuning

  • Proficient in PromQL and custom dashboard development

  • Experience with monitoring best practices, scripting, and automation

  • Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills

  • Ability to work directly with customers and cross-functional teams

  • Knowledge of DevOps tools and practices

  • Relevant certifications are a plus
