Job Title: Jr. Business Analyst
Industry: Financial Services
Contract term: 3 months (through end of the year) - potential to extend
Location: Remote
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8-5
Rate: up to $27/hr.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst with a strong background in digital product strategy, customer journey mapping, and data-driven storytelling to support initiatives focused on enhancing the member experience. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in an Agile environment, enjoys working with cross-functional teams, and has a passion for improving digital engagement in financial services.
Top Skills & Experience Requirements:
Journey Mapping & Business Analysis (5+ years): Expertise in mapping/documenting current and future member journeys. Ability to identify friction points and define user stories aligned with digital alerts strategy
Digital Product & Agile Experience (3-5 years): Experience participating in Agile ceremonies, backlog refinement, and collaborating with Product Owners and developers
Data Analysis & Communication (3+ years): Skilled in analyzing performance/adoption data and translating insights into compelling presentations for leadership
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
Map member journeys for digital alerts (push, SMS, email, inbox) and identify friction points
Manage intake processes for new alert templates and opportunity requests
Conduct competitor analysis to benchmark digital engagement strategies
Collaborate with Product Owners to refine requirements into actionable user stories
Translate data and research into clear, engaging presentations for leadership and stakeholders
Support backlog prioritization and Agile ceremonies (standups, sprint planning, retrospectives)
Maintain documentation of current and future state flows
Provide recommendations to improve digital member experiences based on journey insights and data
Tools/Technologies:
JIRA: Write/refine user stories, maintain backlog, align Agile teams around requirements
Tableau: Analyze alert performance/adoption data, identify opportunities, measure member impact
Confluence / Microsoft Office Suite: Document intake requests, map journeys, create decks and presentations
Figma: Visualize customer journey flows and collaborate on digital experience design
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in financial services, banking, or consumer-facing digital products
Strong understanding of what makes a good digital experience
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Nice-to-have: experience with digital alerts/notifications, template libraries, or compliance/risk in financial services
