Chenega Agile Real-Time Solutions (CARS) was created with the purpose of providing integrated enterprise IT support to Federal customers both CONUS and OCONUS. CARS employs Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) with decades of experience working in the Federal marketplace.

The Operations Manager will be responsible for managing Tier 1-3 support through a Service Center and Endpoint support team, as well as Network Engineers, Cloud Engineers, and Cloud Admins. This program provides comprehensive services for Local Area Networks (LANs) and Wide Area Networks (WANs), supporting roughly 2,000 users. The program covers the acquisition, delivery, configuration, integration, and upgrade of IT products, along with installation and on-site maintenance, including help desk services.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and oversee day-to-day operations of assigned programs
  • Monitor performance metrics, service delivery, and SLAs
  • Lead risk mitigation, quality control, and issue resolution activities
  • Support documentation, reporting, and process improvements
  • Interface with stakeholders to align services with mission objectives
  • Experience managing a team of network admins, cloud and system engineers, and other infrastructure support roles.
  • Responsible for outage remediation, leading a multi-stage incident management process to restore service, minimize impact, and prevent recurrence
  • Oversee the maintenance (patches), cyber monitoring, and upgrading of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and hardware.
  • Track SLA's and ensure high availability and reliability of all IT systems and services through proactive monitoring and performance tuning.
  • Meet the needs of the customer, ensuring timely and effective resolution of issues and requests.
  • Implement and maintain IT security protocols to protect data and assets from threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers, negotiating contracts and ensuring service quality.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of relevant experience; OR
  • Associate and 8+ years of relevant experience; OR
  • High School and 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Obtain Public Trust Clearance

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Demonstrated experience with large-scale IT service contracts, including oversight of cross-functional teams, service delivery, and performance monitoring
  • Ability to work independently and yet be effective within a team setting
  • Must be capable of managing multiple efforts with time-related constraints in a fast-paced contracting environment
  • Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, plans, and best practices to maintain a robust and secure IT environment.
  • Knowledge of industry-accepted standards and best practices related to IT operations
  • Knowledge of and experience with help desk support and operations.
  • Knowledge of networking and network-based software applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholder groups and individuals
  • Friendly presence, helpful attitude, good interpersonal skills, and ability to work well with others.
  • Coordinate release deployments with the development team, ensuring each build/release has all necessary documentation, components, and dependencies.
  • Good problem-solving skills: ability to visualize a problem/situation and think abstractly to solve it
