Job Details
One of our government clients is seeking an experienced Oracle APEX Developer to support application modernization initiatives and ongoing enhancements. This role is critical to accelerating development timelines, delivering high-impact features, and ensuring seamless integration with existing legacy systems while improving overall user experience.
Title : Oracle Apex developer
Location : Broadway, NY (Remote with occasional Onsite visit.)
Duration : 11 months

Key Responsibilities
- Migrate existing Oracle Forms and Reports to Oracle APEX
- Design and develop secure, scalable, and responsive APEX applications
- Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL and PL/SQL code
- Develop reports, dashboards, and analytics using Power BI and BI Publisher
- Integrate Oracle APEX applications with REST APIs and legacy Oracle Forms (until decommissioned)
- Implement authentication, authorization, performance tuning, and CI/CD pipelines
- Ensure application security, scalability, and best-practice architecture
- Use Git and DevOps tools for version control and deployments
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams, and module leads
- Provide production support, troubleshoot issues, and perform performance tuning
- Prepare technical documentation and conduct knowledge transfer and training sessions
Required Skills and Experience
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Oracle APEX and PL/SQL development
- Strong expertise in Oracle APEX 22.x or later (preferably APEX 24.2)
- Advanced knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle 19c, and database performance tuning
- Experience with RESTful services, JSON, and XML integrations
- Prior experience with Oracle Forms 12c and Fusion Middleware
- Familiarity with Git, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD practices
- Experience designing responsive UI using modern APEX components
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
Project Deliverables
- Hands-on development, testing, and deployment of Oracle APEX and Power BI solutions
- Ensure compliance with QA standards, change management, and disaster recovery procedures
- Provide ongoing production support and system performance optimization
- Develop and maintain APEX applications and reporting solutions
- Create and maintain technical documentation and provide end-user support
- Conduct impact analysis and capacity planning
- Collaborate with module leads to ensure successful User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
