Description:
**Hybrid | Onsite Every Other Week | Westlake, TX **

The role focuses on hands-on development, delivery, and support of data services for on and off-premise installations across the enterprise. It requires strong technical and influencing skills, with opportunities for collaboration and enhancements across various technical support teams, including cloud, engineering, and architecture.

Due to client requirement, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $58-$63h/r

Responsibilities:
  • Implement and support the enterprise database landscape.
  • Enable application teams to deploy and manage database support through automation.
  • Ensure stable and highly available database systems.
  • Collaborate with multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Provide thought leadership and demonstrate architecture and personal leadership experience.
  • Support database systems in cloud environments.
  • Build and deliver cloud infrastructure in AWS EC2, RDS, and Azure.
  • Deploy, configure, and maintain Oracle and related databases on Azure and AWS Cloud.
  • Work independently on Exadata setup and administration.
  • Perform regular maintenance of Oracle databases, including backups, restores, and log reviews.
  • Manage database monitoring, troubleshooting, disaster recovery, and production stability.
  • Participate in 24x7 production support and maintenance of high availability database systems.

Experience Requirements:
  • 12+ years of IT database experience with progressive growth to technical lead.
  • Experience supporting Oracle RAC databases in both on-premise and cloud environments.
  • Ability to build and deliver cloud infrastructure in AWS and Azure.
  • Expertise in Exadata and ZFS storage.
  • Strong working knowledge of Oracle RAC, backup and recovery strategies.
  • Experience in cloud support and migration, including AWS, Azure, and OCI.
  • Proficiency in shell scripting and automation of operational tasks.
  • Experience in Linux and AIX.
  • Strong experience in 24x7 production support and maintenance of high availability database systems.
  • Oracle Sys DBA skill set.
  • Large enterprise project management experience.
  • Finance industry experience.


Nice to Have:
  • Experience with Dataguard.
  • Experience with distributed databases.
  • Experience with Cloud AWS.
  • Experience with Exadata.

Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
