P&C Relay Technician P&C Relay Technician

Position Overview
The P&C Relay Technician is responsible for the testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of protection and control systems to ensure the reliability and safety of electrical infrastructure. This role involves working with various relay systems, performing field tests, and supporting system operations in alignment with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform testing and maintenance of protective relays and control systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with relay functionality and related electrical systems.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for testing procedures and results.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to execute work accurately.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols during field service operations.
  • Provide support and training to junior technicians in relay testing and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to enhance system reliability.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in Protection and Controls systems and relay testing.
  • Strong understanding of troubleshooting techniques within electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with Control Systems and SCADA technologies is a plus.
  • Experience with electrical systems, circuit analysis, and power distribution.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
  • Knowledge of safety standards relevant to electrical work.
  • Field service experience related to protective relaying is advantageous.
