Job Title: PLC Programmer SCADA - Subject Matter Expert (SME)
Location: Remote (Travel: Juno Beach, FL)

Duration: 12 Months

 

Summary:
Seeking an expert PLC Programmer/SCADA SME to drive the design, configuration, and optimization of utility-scale BESS and renewable projects. This hands-on role designs, programs, and maintains Schneider Electric PLCs, integrates SCADA/HMI platforms, leads FAT/SAT/testing, and ensures operational and cybersecurity standards for large energy portfolios.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop/optimize PLC logic for BESS/solar (Schneider M340/M580)
  • Integrate SCADA platforms (Ignition), configure ModbDNP3/OPC communications
  • Lead FAT/SAT and onsite commissioning, troubleshooting, system validation
  • Ensure compliance/testing for PPA, LGIA, NERC CIP, cybersecurity protocols
  • Create/maintain code libraries, FRDs, documentation, standards
  • Advise on architecture/best practices; collaborate with project managers, engineering, and vendor teams
  • Support remote/onsite teams and travel as needed for project support

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related
  • 5+ years in PLC programming (Schneider preferred), SCADA/HMI integration
  • Advanced Modbus, DNP3, OPC, Ignition SCADA/HMI, HMI development
  • Utility-scale BESS/renewable experience preferred; power system/control logic a plus
  • Proven FAT/SAT, commissioning, and regulatory compliance experience
