PSA Engineer Network Transmission

Location: Melbourne, FL 32904 or Bellevue, WA 98004 Work Arrangement: Preferred On-site, Open to Remote

Role Overview

The GSW - PSA Engineer Network Transmission will support the design, customization, development, and delivery of Energy Management Systems (EMS) for Electric Power Utilities. This role involves working on real-time or mission-critical systems, requiring strong technical, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.

Essential Skills

  • Proven experience as a PSA Engineer in Network Transmission environments.
  • Hands-on experience developing and delivering Energy Management Systems (EMS) for Electric Power Utilities.
  • Proficiency in Electric SCADA, Power DMS, and Transmission EMS implementations.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in development, customization, and delivery of EMS solutions.

Technical Requirements

  • Programming:
    • Strong knowledge of C, C++, and Java (Full Stack)
    • Experience with SQL and Oracle Database
    • Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles
  • Systems & Tools:
    • Operating Systems: LINUX and Windows
    • Scripting: Shell scripting and log/debug file interpretation
    • Configuration Management: GitHub and ClearCase
    • Software Installation: OS patches, Oracle, NetApp, and other 3rd-party software
  • Specialized Experience:
    • 5+ years with AEMS product (design and development)
    • Experience in real-time or mission-critical systems
    • Skilled in applying system fixes on live customer systems
    • Strong troubleshooting and debugging capabilities

Desirable Skills

  • Deep understanding of industry practices in EMS implementation for Electric Power Utilities.
  • Proven track record of problem analysis, identification, and resolution.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
