About the Role
We are seeking a Package Engineer with a strong focus on paper-based packaging design to join our team. This role will be instrumental in developing innovative, sustainable packaging solutions for e-commerce and retail applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with corrugated, folding cartons, and display design, as well as expertise in rapid prototyping and testing.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop paper-based packaging concepts (corrugated, folding cartons, displays, etc.)
- Execute rapid prototyping of e-commerce packaging concepts to meet aggressive timelines
- Utilize ARTIOS CAD for structural design and ensure precision in layouts
- Operate Kongsberg cutting tables for sample creation
- Support standard testing methods (ISTA/ASTM) to validate packaging performance
- Collaborate with senior designers on shipment and receipt of devices and prototypes
- Ensure designs are compatible with OEM filling equipment and converting processes
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Education:
- BS in Packaging or Industrial Design
- OR 3-5 years of hands-on operational experience in a packaging converting environment
- Experience:
- 1-5 years of paper packaging design experience (corrugated, folding cartons, displays)
- Familiarity with printing, die cutting, gluing processes
- Proficient in ARTIOS CAD
- Knowledge of ISTA/ASTM testing methods
- Ability to operate Kongsberg cutting tables
- Strong understanding of OEM filling equipment
- Skilled in rapid prototyping and meeting aggressive design deliverables
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong problem-solving and creative thinking abilities
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and precision
