Educator: ($20-$22) per hour (based on education, experience)

Split Shift Schedule: This is a part-time position starting end of July 2025. ;

Monday through Thursday, 7:15 am-9:15 am and return 4:00 pm-6:00 pm. Friday shift is between 9 am-5 pm (Must be able to work the Monday through Friday shifts)

Location: Meadowood Development Center- 3333 S Norfolk Way, Aurora, CO 80013

Requirements: Completion of Colorado Shines PDIS and/or Child Development Associate Certification or at least 455 hours of verified childcare experience AND 18 semester credit hours in Early Childhood Education, with one of the courses being:
Introduction to Early Childcare Professions, Guidance Strategies for Children or Pyramid Plus Approach Training

or

Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate Degree in any of the following?
Child Development;
Child Psychology;
Early Childhood Education;
Early Childhood Special Education;
Educational Leadership and Administration;
Elementary Education;
Family and Human Development;
Family Studies; or
Special Education


You?ll drive the mission by:

  • Organize program materials for lessons and activities, as well as document attendance, incidents, and other observation
  • Deliver our dynamic daily curriculum to engage children in academic and social character-building that expands school day learning in a meaningful way
  • Using your coursework training and our in-person training, model positive guidance, and effective classroom management to maintain the safety, well-being, and attention of all children while supporting homework completion, leading fun fitness activities, and guiding children at play
  • Excellent communication skills with varied audience including children, parents, staff, and school personnel
  • Model positive guidance and effective classroom management to maintain the safety and well-being and attention of all children
  • Meets regularly with the Program Manager regarding professional progress and team accountability

THE RIGHT FIT FOR THIS ROLE:

  • High school diploma or GED completed
  • Coursework or training in child development and/or related field is a PLUS
  • Communication skills; oral, written, and visual with adults and children
  • Ability to model professional standards when dealing with students, parents, staff, and community
  • Familiarity with Google technology software or willingness to learn
  • Ability to meet state-specific requirements; FA/CPR, Mandated Reporter, Cleared TB
  • 18 years of age of older
