The Magnolia Plant Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of manufacturing operations at the Magnolia facility. This role oversees shop personnel, production schedules, equipment utilization, material readiness, workflow efficiency, and on-time delivery of manufactured products. The Plant Manager ensures safety, quality, cost control, and throughput performance while partnering closely with PSC (Purchasing, Sourcing, Materials), Engineering, Aftermarket, and Planning to support operational requirements.
This position provides on-floor leadership, ensures disciplined execution of manufacturing processes, supports continuous improvement, and drives accountability to meet production targets and customer expectations.
Production Leadership & Daily Operations
- Lead day-to-day manufacturing activities, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant production operations.
- Oversee shop supervisors, technicians, welders, assemblers, and other manufacturing personnel.
- Manage daily production schedules, work assignments, labor planning, and resource utilization.
- Monitor throughput, productivity, takt time, and bottlenecks to ensure timely completion of builds.
- Conduct daily/weekly production meetings to drive focus on priority orders and constraints.
Materials Coordination & Planning Support
- Partner with PSC and the Magnolia Materials Lead to ensure materials, kits, and components are available for scheduled work.
- Review production shortages, delays, and material risks; drive rapid resolution.
- Collaborate with Planning on build schedules, capacity needs, and workload sequencing.
- Ensure accurate BOM usage, work order consumption, and material traceability.
Safety, Quality & Compliance
- Enforce all HSE standards, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements within the plant.
- Ensure proper use of PPE, equipment, tools, and safe work practices on the shop floor.
- Partner with Quality to ensure inspections, documentation, and acceptance criteria are met.
- Lead incident investigations and corrective action implementation when needed.
People Leadership & Development
- Direct, coach, and develop supervisors and hourly manufacturing staff.
- Support hiring, training, shift alignment, performance management, and discipline.
- Foster a positive culture of accountability, teamwork, communication, and continuous improvement.
Ensure labor productivity meets expectations and aligns with budgeted resource models.
Production Efficiency & Continuous Improvement
Identify improvement opportunities in workflow, layout, tooling, and labor efficiency.
- Implement Lean, 5S, and process-improvement activities to reduce waste and improve throughput.
- Improve plant scheduling discipline, routing accuracy, and material staging effectiveness.
- Support equipment maintenance and reliability initiatives to reduce downtime.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Engineering on build issues, drawings, routings, specs, and manufacturability concerns.
- Coordinate with Aftermarket, Field Service, and Sales to support urgent orders and customer commitments.
- Partner with Finance on labor utilization, cost control, and production reporting.
Support New Product builds, prototyping, and pilot runs.

- Bachelor?s degree preferred; equivalent experience in manufacturing leadership accepted.
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, production supervision, or plant leadership.
- Strong working knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and workflow optimization.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
- Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
