In the Core Operating Systems group ensuring the OS is inseparable from each device's identity as a whole. That's because this group is committed to building fully integrated operating systems that combine hardware, software, and apps into a single Apple experience. Your dedication to cross-disciplinary collaboration will help develop groundbreaking technologies, such as iOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS. By crafting these distinct, holistic user experiences, you'll continue to uphold and advance the excellence people expect from Apple devices. The Core Platform team within Apple's Core OS organization is looking for a hardworking and inspired manager to lead the Software team that understands the Hardware. The team is responsible for all phases of Software delivery from silicon conception until ramp to mass production to support a range of hardware platforms, including iPhone, iPad, Macs, AppleWatch, and AppleTV. You will work with the SoC design team to help define features of new silicon, be responsible for the SecureROM and secure boot architecture and delivery as well as bring-up of all new ARM based silicon and the development of new technologies. You will review the design and bring-up of all new Apple hardware (iPhone/iPad/Macs/AppleWatch/AppleTV, and more), deliver platform device drivers, and help debug and solve problems from prototype to production. This is a highly multi-functional and visible role, and you will be directly involved in decisions that affect every future Apple device. The position requires a very technical and hands-on leader, experience in working closely with silicon and hardware teams, and a deep understanding of bare metal software. You are a highly self-motivated individual who creates a dynamic and creative team environment in which problems are solved in new and innovative ways.

Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $183,400.00 and $316,900.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
