Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence (BI) Developer with deep expertise in Power BI to design, develop, and maintain advanced business intelligence solutions that enable data-driven decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in enterprise data modeling, report development, performance optimization, and BI governance best practices.
Responsibilities: Power BI Development & Optimization

  • Design, develop, and maintain advanced Power BI dashboards, reports, and paginated reports.
  • Build efficient, scalable data models optimized for Power BI performance.
  • Implement row-level security (RLS) and governance standards to ensure data integrity and compliance.
  • Promote consistent KPIs and metrics across business units through a unified semantic model.

Data Mart Integration

  • Collaborate with data engineering teams to design and maintain reliable data marts and data warehouse layers.
  • Structure data sources to ensure efficient refresh cycles, query performance, and accuracy.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries and data transformations to support reporting and analytics needs.

Documentation & Standards

  • Maintain detailed documentation of datasets, reports, and data lineage.
  • Manage and catalog BI assets including reports, dashboards, and data sources in a centralized inventory.
  • Define and enforce BI standards, naming conventions, and best practices.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with stakeholders across Operations, Clinical, Finance, Marketing, and other business areas to define and refine KPIs, metrics, and dashboards.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable, effective BI solutions.

Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor and troubleshoot Power BI refreshes, gateways, and performance issues.
  • Stay current with Microsoft Fabric, DAX enhancements, and Power BI roadmap developments.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to BI workflows, governance, and automation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in BI development, with advanced proficiency in Power BI.
  • Strong command of DAX, Power Query (M), and SQL.
  • Experience with semantic modeling, DirectQuery, and large dataset optimization.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts, including star/snowflake schemas and dimensional modeling.
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric Data Warehouse and/or AI-driven data preparation is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
