Job Details
Role: PowerShell Automation Engineer (Pure Storage)
Location: Atlanta, GA / New Jersey (Hybrid)
Duration: 12-month contract
Role Overview:
This is a resident developer role requiring expert-level, hands-on PowerShell automation to support Windows Server (2012 R2 2022) patching and OS upgrades, aligned with Fiserv standards and ServiceNow workflows.
Core Technical Skills:
- Advanced PowerShell: Modular scripting, error handling, secure credential management, reusable enterprise modules
- Windows Server Administration: Patching, GPO, DSC concepts, clustering
- Automation: OS lifecycle (upgrades, patching, post-patch validation), API-based infrastructure integration
- ServiceNow Integration: APIs for change validation and approvals
- Source Control: Azure DevOps (ADO), CI/CD pipelines, branching and pull requests
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain robust, idempotent PowerShell scripts for OS upgrades, patching, pre/post checks, logging
- Refactor existing scripts to align with Fiserv standards
- Support full SDLC: ADO boards, unit testing, QA support, and production troubleshooting during maintenance windows
- Create documentation, runbooks, and provide knowledge transfer to internal teams
Preferred:
- FinTech experience
- Automation involving storage and application dependencies
