Education & Experience
Mandatory: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or equivalent Engineering.
Experience: 5+ years of directly related experience.
oException: With a Master's or PhD, 2+ years of related experience may be acceptable.
Internships: Are not counted toward the years of experience.

1.Model-Based Controls Development: Proven experience using MATLAB Simulink and Stateflow for designing control systems.

Key Responsibilities
Requirements & Design: Translate high-level machine performance needs into detailed powertrain control system requirements.
Control System Development: Create reusable control features and algorithms for various system architectures using MATLAB Simulink and Stateflow.
Simulation & Testing: Use virtual development tools (simulation, models) to test, optimize, and verify system performance before physical prototyping.
Validation: Develop and validate control features through a V-model approach: simulation -> lab testing -> machine testing. This involves using CAN/Ethernet tools (e.g., Vector CANape, CANalyzer).
Analysis & Problem-Solving: Analyze data, perform root cause analysis on issues, and document control system functionality and performance.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional team members and process partners to ensure product quality.

Team & Work Environment
Team Size & Structure: A team of ~20 people with 4 team leads. This role reports directly to one of those team leads.
Interaction: A High level of frequent collaboration is expected.
Work Setting: Time will be split between an office (for design/simulation), a lab (for bench testing), and machine development environments (for field testing/validation).
