Sr. Principal Computer Systems Architect | San Diego, CA
We re seeking a Sr. Principal Computer Systems Architect to join our team in San Diego, CA and help shape the future of defense technology through Model-based Engineering, DevSecOps, and Agile practices.
As part of our digital transformation journey, you ll have the opportunity to drive innovation, collaborate with top engineers, and deliver critical solutions for the warfighter.
What You ll Do
- Work hands-on with engineers/technicians in a lab environment
- Integrate emerging technologies into program systems
- Implement system engineering changes as required
- Review, analyze & incorporate technical requirements into system architectures
- Configure networks & collaborate with SMEs and government engineers
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and support innovation initiatives
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in STEM + 5 years of experience (or 9+ years without degree)
- Expertise in Red Hat / Linux OS
- Experience with Splunk, STIGs, DNS (Linux BIND)
- Scripting/programming (Bash, Python, Ansible, etc.)
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Imaging/backup tools (Clonezilla, Linux dump)
- Containers: Docker, OpenShift, Kubernetes
- Virtualization: VMWare, KVM, Hyper-V, RH-V
- Networking knowledge (including iSCSI)
- Leadership, mentoring, and task delegation experience
- Ability to work flexible shifts if needed
