We are hiring a Principal Software Engineer for one of our leading clients in the automotive and embedded systems security domain. This role is ideal for experts in Linux-based systems software design, secure embedded architectures, and cybersecurity protocols. You will define, develop, and drive cyber features from concept to release, while mentoring teams and engaging with the open-source community.
Key Responsibilities-
Design and implement embedded cybersecurity software for high-assurance automotive systems.

Lead PoC development and technical documentation for secure microcontroller-based architectures.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders and suppliers on secure boot, TrustZone, and encrypted filesystems.

Interface with open-source projects to expand or contribute security features.
-
Lead internal development teams and act as a technical advisor in the absence of formal leadership.

Ensure compliance with industry standards (MISRA, SEI CERT, AUTOSAR).

Engage with CI/CD and test teams to build pipelines and automation tools.
-
Mentor junior engineers in best practices across secure coding, testing, and integration.
-
Drive root cause analysis and testing improvements for defect resolution.

Participate in Agile ceremonies and foster high team collaboration and communication.

10+ years in embedded systems development (hardware + software).
-
Mastery of C/C++, RTOS, and Linux kernel/driver-level development.

Hands-on with Yocto, BSP integration, board bring-up, and secure firmware.

Deep understanding of communication protocols: I2C, SPI, UART, etc.

Experience with security-enhanced development practices and automation testing.

Strong leadership, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Experience in secure embedded features: secure boot, TrustZone, encryption.

Certifications: OSCP, CISSP, GIAC, or similar.

Familiarity with compliance frameworks: ISO/SAE 21434, OWASP, COBIT, ITIL.

Exposure to high-assurance industries: automotive, defense, intelligence, law enforcement.

Bachelor's or Master's in CS, EE, or related discipline.

Japanese fluency (preferred) for business/technical collaboration.
