Job Details
We are seeking a Process Engineer with a strong mechanical engineering foundation and hands-on PLC experience to optimize and automate production processes in manufacturing. This role combines mechanical design, automation integration, and continuous improvement to enhance efficiency, safety, and product quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement mechanical solutions for tooling, fixtures, and material handling of manufacturing products.
- Integrate and troubleshoot PLC systems (Allen-Bradley or Siemens) and automation equipment to improve process reliability.
- Develop and maintain CAD models and detailed drawings for equipment and tooling using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process bottlenecks and implement Lean/Kaizen improvements.
- Support installation, start-up, and qualification of automated machinery and mechanical systems.
- Create SOPs, preventive maintenance schedules, and technical documentation for production and maintenance teams.
- Conduct root cause analysis and apply Six Sigma methodologies to reduce defects and improve efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 2 years in mechanical engineering and PLC integration within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD for mechanical design.
- Hands-on experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley or Siemens preferred).
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement.
