Job Description:
Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, technically assess, assign tasks for, and implement engineering changes (ECRs) in collaboration with Product Leaders and/or Team Leaders.
- Create and maintain requirement and verification documents, work plans, material master data, and bills of materials.
- Provide training on relevant documents and ensure smooth phase-in/phase-out of changes in production.
- Analyze, track, and manage engineering changes; prepare updates for product meetings.
- Proactively communicate and escalate issues to ensure engineering changes are completed on time.
- Ensure timely creation, approval, and training of requirement and verification documents, as well as master data for product manufacturing, in compliance with quality standards.
- Support NPI projects, including sample/prototype construction, material coordination, and manufacturability feedback.
- Ensure compliance with quality objectives, deadlines, and regulatory requirements.
- Internal: Production, Product & Project Leaders, Portfolio Leads, Quality Assurance.
- External: R&D, GCS.
- Address deviations and coordinate with internal interfaces.
- Continuously optimize workflows to align with LEAN ECR service principles.
- Support and lead improvement measures within the Engineering Chapter in consultation with the Sub-Chapter Lead.
- Lead smaller projects (e.g., KvP) assigned by Product or Sub-Chapter Leads.
- Participate in Communities of Practice (CoPs), Squads, and Project Teams as needed.
- Strong technical proficiency, engineering creativity, and ability to collaborate effectively.
- Solid understanding of engineering principles and concepts.
- Strong mechanical problem-solving skills and root-cause analysis experience.
- Hands-on expertise with electro-mechanical and small-scale fluidic/pneumatic systems.
- Proficiency in SAP and MS Office applications.
- Excellent design skills with the ability to deliver simple, efficient solutions.
- Strong troubleshooting skills, with cross-functional and multi-disciplinary problem-solving experience.
- Self-directed, proactive, and able to work autonomously.
- Goal-oriented, structured working style with a strong service mindset.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with flexibility to adapt to new ideas.
- Ability to collaborate in a global, matrixed organization.
- Bachelor s degree in a directly related discipline required.
- Master s degree with 2 years of relevant experience, or PhD with no prior experience, also acceptable.
- Minimum of 4 years of related professional experience (with Bachelor s degree).
