ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking a skilled and hands-on Process Engineer to join a multidisciplinary team developing next-generation AR/VR wearable devices. In this role, you will help transform lab prototypes into scalable manufacturing processes for miniaturized electronics. The ideal candidate has experience developing and refining assembly processes and enjoys working directly with operators and vendors to establish and improve real-time execution.
THE OPPORTUNITY FOR YOU
-
Develop and implement manufacturing processes that take hardware prototypes from lab builds to manufacturing lines.
-
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (ME, EE, Test Engineers, Technicians, and vendors) to define, validate, and refine assembly and interconnect processes.
-
Partner with line operators to identify bottlenecks, improve yield, and ensure consistent, high-quality builds.
-
Conduct applied DOE studies (evaluating methods, materials, or equipment) to determine best-fit processes.
-
Review CAD models for fixturing/design considerations and provide input on manufacturability.
-
Support early-cycle builds and bring-up activities for research hardware and new product designs.
-
Document processes and author SOPs where necessary.
-
Represent process engineering in design reviews and ensure smooth handoff from research to manufacturing.
KEY SUCCESS FACTORS
-
Bachelor's degree in Process Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
-
4+ years of experience developing processes for consumer electronics.
-
Proven ability to take processes from R&D lab manufacturing line.
-
Strong understanding of small-form-factor electronics assembly methods (e.g., interconnects, bonding, fixturing).
-
Hands-on experience working with operators and vendors to refine processes in real time.
-
Familiarity with CAD software (NX, SolidWorks, or equivalent) for reviewing fixturing and design changes.
-
Knowledge of DOE and process validation methods (applied in manufacturing environments).
-
Strong collaboration and communication skills; ability to work in a fast-paced, research-driven environment.
NICE TO HAVES
-
Electrical Engineering background (preferred), or Mechanical Engineering background with specialization in electrical interconnects.
-
Experience with fixturing for miniaturized assembly processes.
-
Exposure to local manufacturing environments supporting R&D or pilot builds.
Our benefits package includes:
- Comprehensive medical benefits
- Competitive pay
