RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Process Engineer in Fremont, CA.

Summary:
We are working with our client to find a Process Engineer for a Day shift long term contract role. They work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to define experiments, analyze results, and improve tool performance, while also providing technical guidance to Process Technicians and Operations staff. You will be trained on various software and then eventually training others.

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the development and optimization of semiconductor processes on advanced equipment
* Design and execute experiments (DOE), analyze process data, and generate recommendations to improve yield, throughput, and process stability
* Translate experimental and production requirements into clear passdowns for Process Technicians, reviewing results and adjusting methodologies as needed
* Collaborate with equipment engineers, technologists, and operations teams to troubleshoot process deviations, identify root causes, and drive corrective actions
* Manage process documentation, including recipes, specifications, and best practices for wafer handling, metrology submissions, and data collection
* Utilize data from metrology tools, SEM analysis, and internal databases to monitor process health and drive continuous improvement
* Contribute to tool qualification, new technology introduction, and customer demos
* Ensure compliance with safety, housekeeping, and material handling standards in cleanroom environments

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, or a related technical discipline
* Someone who has training experience and is a quick learner with various software packages
* Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data from metrology tools and process experiments
* Familiarity with experimental design (DOE), statistical analysis, and process control methods
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn proprietary equipment software and recipe structures quickly
* Excellent communication skills, capable of documenting results clearly and collaborating across teams
* Strong technical curiosity and ability to learn complex processes quickly
* Hands-on experience with wafer handling and metrology data collection
* Clear communication of passdowns, results, and process issues to peers and leadership
* Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities
* Experience with semiconductor process development, thin film deposition, etch, lithography, or related manufacturing technologies preferred
* Prior experience in a cleanroom or semiconductor fabrication environment strongly desired

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
