The Product/Project Manager, Consumer Products, is responsible for supporting the multiple technologies that drive value in this area and the work efforts for the Digital and Technology Transformation in this space.
location: Bethesda, Maryland

responsibilities:
This role will collaborate with business partners and technical teams to maintain a well-groomed product backlog of features to include refined user stories with solid technical solutions that are ready for development. In addition to owning a product, this role requires project management skills to be able to work with internal and external teams to drive program deliverables.
qualifications:
The candidate would be able to produce any of the following deliverables in this role: A project plan, a product roadmap, risk and issue assessments, status updates, etc. On a day to day this candidate will need to communicate with: product peers, engineers, VP Leadership, external business partners/vendors.
skills: Skills:
- 3-5+ years Product management experience - managing and prioritizing product backlog.
- Project Management experience
- Experience with Agile Development methodology and tools (CSM certification a plus); ability to define features and stories.
- Experience with project management best practices (Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, etc.)
- Ability to convert business needs into technology requirements, tasks, or milestones for the team to deliver.

- Excellent communicator, both written and spoken. Must be able to explain product vision, business objective, technical feasibility, define requirements, risks, issues, project milestones and technical implementations.
- Demonstrated ability to drive work across multiple stakeholders in a highly matrixed environment.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver results under challenging conditions, particularly when faced with complexity, ambiguity, and aggressive timelines.
