Job Description:

Position: Product Manager

Location: Orlando, FL (onsite 2x per week)

Duration: Contract to Hire

Rate Range: $50-60 per hour W2

Position Overview:

This Product Manager will be overseeing all Resort Operations product lines and the projects associated for the client

Resort Ops is comprised of all software systems used at the resorts to function on a day to day basis - Housekeeping, Maintenance/Engineering, Front Desk, Sales, Food & Bev

Most initiatives are upgrades or enhancements to pre-existing products, may be part of some new products as well

Requirements:
  • 3+ years Product Manager/Project Manager experience
  • Experience with product road mapping, backlog grooming, etc
  • Experience with Jira/Confluence or other similar task tools
  • Resort Ops/Hospitality experience
  • Soft skills - can work with large group of stakeholders, prioritize initiatives, speak with c suite

    Preferred Experience:
  • Experience with hotel property management systems
  • 3rd party integration tools
  • Basic SQL experience or willingness to learn

    Day to Day Responsibilities/typical day look like:

    Product Leadership & Strategy
    • Own the product roadmap for Resort Operations systems, including both proprietary and third-party platforms (e.g., Oracle Symphony POS, Hot Sauce Housekeeping).
    • Drive product enhancements, upgrades, and new feature development across multiple operational domains.
    • Participate in early-stage planning and vendor evaluation for new AI initiatives aimed at improving guest service and operational efficiency.

    Stakeholder Engagement
    • Collaborate closely with business units, including General Managers, corporate leadership, and property front-line teams, to gather requirements and prioritize initiatives.
    • Facilitate conflict resolution and ensure alignment across diverse stakeholder groups.
    • Work with a Steering Committee to align product priorities with strategic business goals.

    Cross-Functional Team Collaboration
    • Lead cross-functional teams including Business Analysts, Developers, QA Engineers, and Data Analysts to deliver high-quality product solutions.
    • Translate business needs into technical requirements and user stories for development teams.
    • Manage sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release coordination using tools like Jira and Confluence.

    Technical Oversight
    • Understand and support system integrations between internal platforms and third-party tools.
    • Utilize basic SQL to query databases for validation, troubleshooting, and reporting.
    • Ensure seamless data flow and system interoperability across resort operations platforms.

    Reporting & Documentation
    • Provide regular updates to leadership and stakeholders on project status, risks, and milestones.
    • Maintain comprehensive documentation of product decisions, workflows, and technical specifications.
    • Support training and change management efforts for new product rollouts.
